
Rodrigo Díaz (they/them) is a Chilean producer and distributor who graduated from the University of Chile with a degree in Film & Television. Rodrigo has concentrated their career on films that place special emphasis on themes such as memory, the human body as a political space, and imaginaries of the future.
They participated in the Visitor’s Programme (EFM, 2020) and Rotterdam Lab (IFFR, 2021).
Rodrigo studied at the international workshop ‘Development of Feature Films and Presentation in Film Markets’ at the EICTV of San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba.
They were a jury member at the San Sebastian Film Festival 2018 in the Nest Film Students category, Queer Lisboa 2022 in the International Short Film Competition, and the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival 2025 in the Recognition of Gender Diversity award.
Additionally, they have produced several award-winning short films that have been shown at festivals including the Cannes Critics’ Week, La Biennale di Venezia, the Toronto Film Festival, the San Sebastian Film Festival, and the Valdivia Film Festival, among others.
The short films Rodrigo has distributed have been shown at the Sundance Film Festival, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the New York Film Festival, and Clermont-Ferrand ISFF, among others.
Rodrigo has attended co-production forums such as: FOCUS COPRO’ 2022; La Fabrique Cinéma 2023; the Atelier de coproduction France – Cône Sud 2024; and the Malaga Festival Fund and Coproduction Event, among others. They also took part in Darkroom 2025, a work-in-progress section organized by CineMart at the Rotterdam Film Festival.
Rodrigo is among the 37 producers selected at the Locarno Pro’s international networking initiative Match Me!, which will take place at the 77 Locarno Film Festival.
They are currently in post-production on the fiction feature ERRATICS (Chile, France, Argentina), directed by Thomas Woodroffe and starring Denis Lavant.
